This week we're preparing for our Thanksgiving trip to the mountains on Wednesday. Unfortunately, I don't think it will snow, but we'll have to pack all the gear anyway. Sam walked around all day in his coat, mittens and snow boots, sweating profusely and repeating, "I want to go to the mountains." as if we were leaving any second. He doesn't even know what "the mountains" is. He just likes to go.
Jack, bless his little type A heart, was almost asleep last night and then called me into his room. He was in a small panic. He said, "I need to pack my backpack for the mountains!" I told him, "It's alright. We have plenty of time. I haven't even started packing yet." Clearly, this was the wrong thing to say. "Oh no!" he said, "You need to start packing!"
You'll not likely see much here till after Thanksgiving. I should be back next week with pictures. I'm hoping to convince Jack to snowboard, which would be a photo-worthy moment, for sure. If there is no snowboarding to be had, expect to see pictures of all of us eating our weight in turkey and pumpkin pie and then lying around the cabin playing cards and watching football.
Isn't that annoying? *laughs* Fear my awesome HTML skillz!
